Oliver advises on public and private mergers and acquisitions as well as capital raising and corporate governance matters.

He is listed as a leading Queensland corporate lawyer and commercial lawyer in the 2021 Doyle’s guide to the Australian legal profession, he is a recognised practitioner in the 2021 Chambers and Partners for corporate and M&A, and has also been recognized in the Legal 500 Australia for both his M&A and capital markets work.

He has a particular focus on private equity and has acted for a number of major buy-out houses in both Australia and Europe, where he spent several years at a leading international firm.

Oliver is an excellent technical lawyer but also has a strong understanding of the commercial drivers behind deals. His clients value his creativity, dedication and stamina and he has built strong long-term relationships by understanding their businesses and helping them to achieve their objectives.

Oliver has acted for listed and unlisted businesses operating across a number of industry sectors including resources, property, retail, agribusiness, gaming and aviation.
