Principal

Will advises on corporate and commercial transactions, with experience in public and private M&A, fundraising, commercial agreements and disputes.  Will also advises boards on corporate governance and enjoys assisting with commercial and strategic decisions.

He has acted for funds, private equity, venture capital, founders, shareholders, family businesses, partnerships and listed and unlisted companies.

Will aims to effect outcomes in the most efficient way and prefers to tailor solutions rather than squeeze bespoke arrangements into standardised template documents.

Capabilities include fundraising, share sales, business sales, joint ventures, convertible debt instruments, loan and security instruments, shareholders’ agreements, employee equity schemes, services agreement, supply agreements, distribution agreements, collaboration agreements, IP transfer agreements, employment agreements and general terms and conditions.

He is listed as a Queensland corporate and commercial law rising star in the 2022 and 2023 Doyle’s guide to the Australian legal profession.

Will was awarded a Juris Doctor with first class honours by Bond University.  He also holds a degree in construction management.  Prior to joining Talbot Sayer, Will worked at Norton Rose Fulbright, MinterEllison and Hutchinson Builders.
