Associate

Sophie is an Associate in our Commercial Team and advises on all aspects of day-to-day business for early stage to mature businesses across a variety of sectors.  This includes advising on a broad array of areas such as general commercial law, contract law, corporate law, consumer law, technology, intellectual property law, employment law, construction law, government and major projects.  Sophie works with our clients to provide commercially-focused and practical solutions to the legal aspects of their businesses.

Sophie also advises on corporate advisory matters and small-cap M&A transactions.  She has a particular interest in corporate governance after previously having been a director and company secretary for a well-respected disability services provider in South East Queensland for four years.

Prior to joining Talbot Sayer, Sophie worked in state and local government entities while concurrently working in a leading property and development team at a mid-tier law firm.  Her experience across these areas has provided Sophie with a unique insight into the commercial realities for our clients and this is reflected in her solution-focused approach to legal advice.
